Q: How do I contact you to ask a question?

A: Sure, simply sign up for a free membership, then use the help desk link to post your question. Because of the automated crawlers used by spammers to collect email addresses, we require the use of the help desk function, at least initially.

2)

Q: Why do I have to signup and use the helpdesk function to contact you?

A: We hate spam. Chances are, you do too. Because of the automated crawlers used by spammers to collect email addresses, we require the use of the help desk function, at least initially. Also, your mail server or your hosting service may inadvertently mark our emails to you as bulk email or Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE) and thus not deliver it. By using the HelpDesk, we ensure that you're able to get our answers.

1)

Q: Do I have to buy a whole CD to get the few templates I want?

A: No. In fact, you can download any template from the site and still get the same high quality you've come to expect. A word of caution though, these are high-resolution templates and the files are quite large, so they will take longer to download. Of course, you can always order a CD or set of CDs at any time.

2)

Q: If I add up the cost for downloading all the templates included on a single CD, the cost is a lot more. Why?

A: The content on the CD is already in a suitable format for burning to disk and the CD price reflects the cost of the content, the CD, and burn time. Reformatting the content and placing it into a self-extracting zip file took considerably more time to create, then upload to the server. Moreover, the content itself is huge (over 13 Gigabytes,) so Digital-Scrapbooks.com had to switch Internet Hosting Services and now pays a higher cost for the increased bandwidth and storage capacity. For best savings, if you want several templates from one CD, a good rule of thumb to use is to buy the CD if you want more than a third of the templates on the CD. Otherwise, buy the individual templates. When you buy the CD (physical delivery), you also get the download links to all the templates on that CD, so you can continue your project immediately with the one or two you really need now and you'll get the physical CD shipment in due course.

3)

Q: Your home page took a very long time to download. What's wrong?

A: Fact is, there may be nothing wrong. Network load may be a factor, just as the speed of your connection will play a role.

Many potential customers said they are visual people and they wanted to see thumbnails of the templates on the home page before signing up. So, I added all the thumbs for two reasons. First, to give you a sense on what the site has to offer, as requested. And second, to test your system for downloading the massive files you will have access to when you join. If you try to access the home page multiple times and at different times of the day (or multiple days) and find it is still loading too slow, then you should not try to download the templates and simply order one of the CDs.

Templates

1)

Q: Are your templates high-resolution?

A: Yes! All our templates are 300 dots per inch (dpi) and suitable for printing

2)

Q: What's the difference (besides the obvious) between the 12 x 12 templates and the 8.5 x 11 Templates?

A: With small variations in layout to suit the difference in orientation (square versus rectangle), the 12 x 12 are Professional Resolution suitable for large format printing, so the file size is roughly three times larger. This means that you'll see a lot more detail in them. Professional photographers and scrappers use them for developing keepsakes that compliment their photographs.

3)

Q: Is the one page all there is ?

A: Goodness no! The download you were taken to is a self-extracting zip file with thumbnails of all the pages the site has (though not all of them are visible at the moment). To get five pages right now for FREE, just log into your account at http://www.digital-scrapbooks.com/r/login.php and go to the ***Your Membership*** link (if it doesn't start you there first.) There you'll see a link for your five FREE download templates and another for the shopping cart. Using the cart, you can browse/order the CDs there, or browse/order individual three page template sets. I'm still in the process of adding the hundreds of individual templates for download to this new system, so I hope you can bear with me. But that is good news indeed for you because I reduced the download pricing by over half on all the templates temporarily while I'm configuring the system.
